What began as a 4-bay self-service car wash in the late 1960s grew into a thriving small business of supplying parts - and then equipment - to other local car wash owners and investors.

Townco developed its own design of self-service equipment that was installed all across Georgia and then the southeast and then nationwide. Townco has even sold to customers in Australia and South Korea!

The years brought many changes and challenges to the self-service car wash industry but Townco is proud to be here for our customers - some who have been with us since the start.

Owners Buster and Jane Brown are carrying on the legacy of Jane’s parents, Jay and Ruth Townsend, who started Townco in their basement! Buster and Jane are committed to carrying on Townco’s  tradition of personalized customer service.
